If you are as addicted to TikTok as I am, then you probably noticed a new trend. More and more people posted videos on how to romanticize school, studying and much more.

But what does this mean?

Romanticizing something means thinking and talking about it in a way that makes it look much better than it actually is. And it helps a lot of people, myself included, to be more motivated for the upcoming school year.

But now you might ask yourself: "But how can I romanticize school?"

Well if that's the case, then you are at the right address. In this blog post, I will share 7 tips on how to romanticize school.

1. Playlists

I recommend creating a few Playlists in advance for different occasions.

For example: Walking to school, studying, getting ready, etc.

Starting your day with music is always a great way to get motivated and excited for the day ahead of you.

2. Wear your favorite clothes

In my opinion, it is really important you wear clothes you actually feel confident and comfortable in, to school. If you wear very tight jeans that are uncomfortable you won't be able to focus.

I always feel way more motivated for the day if I am wearing something that I like and feel confident in.

3. Study space

Create a good setup to study.

Clean your desk and add for example candles or cute decorations to your desk to make it more comfortable. If you don't like your study space you won't be as motivated to sit down and study as when you actually look forward to it. Just make sure to not overdo it with the decorations so as to not get distracted.

4. Motivation

Try to watch study with me videos or study with me vlogs on YouTube to get motivated

5. Pretend you are in a movie

It may sound stupid but I found out that it really helps when you just pretend that you are the main character studying for a big exam. (Like Rory Gilmore, Spencer Hastings or Elle Woods)

6. Develop Habits

You can brighten up your mood when you have things you look forward to.

A few examples

  • Starting the day with a cup of tea

  • Going on a walk (with your dog) before school

  • Take a nice long bath in the evening

7. Take pretty notes

Do you think taking notes is boring and exhausting? If yes, then this one is for you.

Start using fun Highlighters and pens and make sure to improve your handwriting.

It's a lot more fun to study when your notes are organized and nice to look at.
